April 20, 2021 — Laced Records is set to release soundtrack vinyls of Capcom’s arcade heavy-hitters Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors’ Dreams and Street Fighter Alpha 2 — the latter of which can be heard now in the form of Yestermade’s 15-minute arcade capture.

Also accompanying the Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors’ Dreams and Street Fighter Alpha 2 releases are a some bonus remixes of seminal arcade beat ’em up Final Fight as well as the original Street Fighter 2 cabinet.

Enter a realm of jazz-funk fusion that features the iconic music of Capcom’s first two fighting game titles in the Alpha/Zero trilogies. The musicians who worked on both titles include Isao Abe (aka Oyaji), Syun Nishigaki (Resident Evil 2, Dino Crisis), Tatsuro Suzuki, Setsuo Yamamoto (Mega Man series, Rival Schools), Yuko Takehara (Mega Man series), Naoaki Iwami, and Naoshi “groovy” Mizuta (Parasite Eve II, Final Fantasy series.)

“The music, of which some can beard in the 60fps arcade clip below, has been carefully mastered for vinyl by Joe Caithness.”

The music, which can be sampled in the 60fps arcade clip below, has been carefully mastered for vinyl by Joe Caithness, and the resulting tracks will be pressed onto audiophile-quality, heavyweight 180g discs. Also, Laced Records have once again enlisted the talent of Malaysia-born Australian comic book illustrator Andie Tong to create original sleeve artwork as he did for the Street Fighter III: The Collection vinyl box set.

The Limited Edition vinyls featuring Alpha red and Alpha 2 blue ‘galaxy effect’ discs are open to pre-order now and will remain exclusive to the Laced online store. Standard editions sport traditional black discs. LPs come in printed inner sleeves, all housed in a wide-spined outer sleeve.
